Copycat Low-carb Cabbage Rice

Ingredients

  • 1/2 yellow cabbage, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon butter substitute
  • 1 teaspoon salt (optional)
  • cayenne
  • ginger
  • onion
  • soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Boil 2 cups water
  2. Toss shredded cabbage with butter and desired spices.
  3. Place cabbage in vegetable steamer (metal or bamboo)
  4. Steam for 8-10 minutes or to desired texture.
  5. *Tip: Use tongs to sift cabbage and ensure it cooks evenly throughout.
  6. Serve with stir-fry chicken, fish or tofu. Can also be used under a chicken dish as you would rice.
